CMPIC 

CMPIC  (Configuration Managed Project Integrated Cabling) is a cable management software developed by Cloudis Ltd. for controlling the design, routing and installation of all types of cabling. CMPIC is a database application which can be integrated with other engineering and office applications. CMPIC offers a large spectrum of functionality which is unrivalled for shipbuilding, power, offshore and other large engineering construction projects.

The software can be used in single or multiple project environments and includes optional Configuration Management capabilities. Through Configuration Management from CMPIC, it is possible to manage the variations in cabling and resolve the challenge from one vessel design to another. It offers the possibility to manage the vast majority of cables from different vessels within the same CMPIC database.

For example, CMPIC allows the user to interrogate the database and then find out which cables were installed between two given points or devices. It is also possible to see which cables run through a room which has been damaged by fire and which systems are affected as a result. There is tremendous potential for exploiting the CMPIC database for through life support and maintenance purposes.

The CMPIC database can be used as an important part of a through life support system.
